The Beatles are (or were) awesome, but sometimes others don't respect them. Here's how to get them to jam to the Beatles' terrific music.

Steps


  1. Respect other peoples' favorite bands. They'll just insult the Beatles more if you make fun of their bands (no matter how pathetic they are).
  2. Brag about the Beatles. They were, after all, only the greatest band in the history of music. But don't get too carried away. They'll just ignore you if you brag too much.
  3. Admit some things, eg., half of the Beatles are dead, the other half are old and balding, etc. But then twist it around to use it to your advantage, eg., ...But they were still the most popular band in history, or, When they were a band, their music was great and it still is great!
  4. Play the Beatles' great music to your friends. If that won't convince them, nothing will. Also remember that the Beatles were one of the most influential bands ever, and that many of your friends' favorite bands could easily be influenced by the Beatles, be it directly or indirectly.
  5. Introduce them to their first Beatles song depending on their taste. "Helter Skelter" may attract one whereas "In My Life" will attract another.


Tips


  • Compliment other peoples' favorite bands. They'll be more receptive to your music if you're more receptive to their music.
  • Never let your arguments about the Beatles get so serious that you and your friends don't like each other anymore. Always remember, though, we can work it out!


Warnings


  • Don't go singing Beatles' songs every chance you get. Although it's tempting, it will get very annoying very fast for your friends.
  • Although it's all right to subtly drop Beatles titles into your conversations (eg., we can work it out, money can't buy me love, with a little help from my friends, let it be, etc.), don't go too far. It will bug them more than lure them into liking the Beatles.
  • Don't try too hard. You can't get someone who doesn't understand or care about real music to appreciate Beatle music. People who understand music history, social history and can appreciate real musical diversity can appreciate The Beatles. A person who thinks that Oasis are the new Beatles won't get it.
